Summary: Captured German film describing in detail procedures employed in flying the German aircraft ME-262. German Air Force officer, in the form of a lecture, shows a German NCO how to operate the various controls in cockpit, how they function, etc. Included are close-ups of the various aircraft components, several animated scenes which explain further the aircraft propulsion system, and many shots of the ME-262 in flight.
Reel 3: 1) CU open greenhouse of ME-262 aircraft in which a German NCO is sitting; standing beside him is a German officer pointing to the cockpit's instruments and explaining to the NCO the function of aileron controls. 2) CU NCO's feet as he demonstrates the aileron foot controls. 3) ME-262 aircraft on runway as NCO in cockpit demonstrates taxi maneuverability by pushing foot and hand controls inside cockpit. 4) MFV and SV as aircraft taxis on runway in all directions. 5) CU German officer and NCO sitting in cockpit, officer continues to lecture on the various functions of the aircraft. 6) MSV aircraft on runway. 7) CU NCO's hands as he demonstrates use of throttle lever inside cockpit. 8) MCU ME-262 as NCO gets out of cockpit and along with German officer walks away from plane. 9) MCU NCO and officer as they enter military office, engage in a discussion -- NCO goes through motions as if he was pushing the throttle on ME-262 control panel. 10) MCU officer is seated behind a desk asks NCO to come near him. 11) CU we see that he is showing him a drawing of the fuel system (?) of ME-262 aircraft; he points out certain figures to NCO (cannot tell to what the figures pertain -- writing is too small to read). He turns around and with the motions of his hands, he tries to describe something to the NCO. 12) CU hands and legs of a pilot as he operates all different controls inside fighter plane (not an ME-262). 13) CU officer sits in chair in same position as did the pilot in the unidentified fighters. 14) MCU same officer gets up from chair and shows the NCO a chart which, in a scale, shows the climb rate of ME-262. 15) CU officer blackboard, officer picks up chalk and draws a rough outline of ME-262.
