Summary: Captured German film describing in detail procedures employed in flying the German aircraft ME-262. German Air Force officer, in the form of a lecture, shows a German NCO how to operate the various controls in cockpit, how they function, etc. Included are close-ups of the various aircraft components, several animated scenes which explain further the aircraft propulsion system, and many shots of the ME-262 in flight.
Reel 5: l) MCU German AF officer and NCO walk up to a parked ME-262. 2) Officer gives final instructions to the NCO who climbs into aircraft cockpit, is assisted by an enlisted man. 3) CU NCO's hand as he presses certain buttons on the right side of aircraft control panel. 4) CU enlisted man standing beside the sitting NCO and helping him adjust his flying gear in cockpit. 5) MCU German officer standing by what appears to be a portable radio transmitter-receiver; he is wearing a pilot's cap with earphones connected to the apparatus. 6) MSV ME-262 as it taxis L to R on runway. 7) CU German officer as he looks through field glasses. 8) LS ME-262 as it taxis on runway R to L. 9) MCU officer as he operates (standing) the radio equipment and talks into throat microphone -- probably to the NCO taxiing in ME-262. 10) German woman soldier as she gives aircraft starting signal with a flag. 11) SV and RV of ME-262 as it taxis and takes off. 12) Front CU of the NCO as he sits inside aircraft cockpit. 13) Camera in close up follows his movements inside the cockpit as presses, pulls and operates the aircraft take off controls. 14) RSV ME-262 as it flies close to ground. 15) MCU German officer as he stands by the radio equipment, looks through his field glasses and watches aircraft take off. 16) MCU another officer walks up to him, they engage in a conversation and watch the flying ME-262. 17) CU of the two officers. 18) CU NCO inside the flying aircraft cockpit. 19) CU of his hands as they operate the various buttons, levers and instruments inside cockpit. 20) MSV ME-262 in flight, L to R. 21) MCU two officers as they stand near the radio equipment and continue to watch the flight of ME-262 through their glasses. 22) CU NCO sitting in the flying aircraft. 23) CU aircraft instrument dial.
